White Norris
Norris Stanly White was born on May 5,1923 He grew up on the farms of Bucks and Montgomery Counties,
He started carving wood at the age of 15 and became a elite woodcarver and turner who won numerous awards.
Norris said carving was the joy of his life and turned and carved wood until his death on February 13, 2011
He was drafted into the Army on February 1943. He then volunteer to become a paratrooper and served with the 82d Airborne where he participated in the D-Day invasion
and the Battle of the Bulge. He also served at the famous standoff with the Germans at Nijmegen, in the Netherlands.
